Di Hobbs - Salvation Army
We all know about the Salvation Army and the familiar red shield logo.
You might also be like me and not so aware of the breadth of services that the dedicated, compassionate and caring members and volunteers provide to our whole community.
Di says ‘Life can be tricky, painful, an unpredictable journey...We are passionate about trying to connect and wrap around with holistic, connections.’
Andrea ( also a salvos volunteer and with an amazing smile and tech skills makes Rolling through Wednesday happen ), Di and I talk about the outreach van and the thrift van, pastoral care, homelessness, volunteering and donating. By providing safe, comfortable and safe spaces the Game Zone and Youth Group allow people to do what they want and to just be.
