Niina Jaakkola - Inclusion advocate, podcaster, podcast host, parenting deaf daughters

Niina Jaakkola modestly calls herself an inclusion advocate with her podcast Together Through The Storms but is also a multi-national special education teacher and a devoted mother of 2 gorgeous young girls who were born deaf.

I’m grateful to share her story of parenting children with non-normative needs and how her podcast, Together Through The Storms, is about creating a community that can grow and learn together and provide inspiration, hope and reassurance.

We chatted about working through grief, finding community, and knowing the girls were born exactly as they need to be.
